DMR February 2026
This match is designed for the Gas Gun shooter using an off-the shelf rifle capable of ~1.5moa with factory match ammunition. Optics are based on Division but are meant to allow entry level options to compete. Stages are meant to be completed using a rifle, bipod and 1 positional bag. Stages are intended to be “practical” in nature and applying a combination of stressors to improve the shooters ability to utilize their equipment in a controlled and safe environment. Movement is necessary in the stages which are designed to elevate your heart rate. Course of fire are written to accommodate both small frame and large frame cartridges and have a balance of time, shooting positions, target sizes and distances.
• Most calibers of an AR variant are allowed, subject to the same rules as the Precision Rifle Match. No steel core, velocity under 3100 fps.
• Rifle can be customized but the nature of the match is to be able to be competitive with “off the shelf” gear.
• Shooters should have a bipod and rear/support bag
• This is designed to be a one bag only match.
• Slings are not required but can be used.
• An optic that is a minimum of 6 power, 8-10 being the minimum ideal. Because this match has a precision element to it, we recommend an optic with MOA or Milliradian reticles versus a BDC (Ballistic Drop Compensator) reticle. The BDC reticle will work, and again, if your goal is to learn how to run your current gear better, then by all means feel free to go that direction. Open sights are discouraged due to low hit/success rate.
Min ammo required- 140 rds, max ammo required 200 rds.
Gas Gun Match Rules
– Time+ scoring
o Shooters raw time for finishing the stage plus time penalties for not hitting targets.
o Penalty is 15 seconds for every target not hit.
– 120 second par time
– 20 rounds max per stage
– Targets are ALL hit to move on.
– Starting position will be standing mag in bolt back, unless otherwise noted.
-This is designed to be a one bag only match.
-Slings are not required but can be used.

Welcome to beautiful Central Oregon! Our match is located in the high desert terrain just west of the Ochoco National Forest where you will be spoiled with breath taking views of the Cascade Range and Mt Jefferson during your stay. Central Oregon is home to Elk, Mule Deer, Cougar and Coyotes which provides endless opportunities for locals to get out and explore/hunt.
This will replicate a true western hunting experience, and the game animals here know better than to hang out in the open fields. You will be hunting in a juniper rich environment along a cliff approximately 1 mile long. This ground is rocky so wear boots with ankle support and watch your step! 18 stages, minimum round count of 72, max of 144 but having a few extra rounds may be beneficial for a side stage. Due to the terrain, expect to lose some brass. Targets will range from 200y-999.9y, average around 425y.
The parking area is a few hundred yards from the hunting area. The terrain outside of the parking area does not treat vehicles nicely so be prepared to put in roughly 3 miles of hiking across both days.
Average temps for the end of May range from 40º to 72º.
Bring your family and spend the weekend in Central Oregon. This area is LOADED with activities for every age group.
Rock climbing: Smith Rock State Park has over 2,000 recognized climbing routes.
Fishing: The Deschutes River is one of the premier fly fishing rivers of the PNW. May/June is the best time for big trout.
Shopping: The Old Mill District in Bend is a perfect place for your family to shop and dine while you’re shooting the match. There are more than 55 shops and restaurants spread across 270 acres along the Deschutes River. And did I mention that Oregon is TAX FREE shopping?
Beer: Central Oregon is home to over 40 breweries. If you’re a craft beer enthusiast be sure to check out some of the local brewpubs for a burger and beer.

DMR October 2026
COSSA DMR is a semi-auto precision rifle match that blends the time+ scoring format with precision rifle style stages. Targets are engaged from 100-600 yards with the majority of targets in the 200-450 yard range.
Open Division: Barrel length of 20 inches or longer, optic 20x or greater, any caliber in addition to 5.56/.223 or 7.62/.308. 20 round magazine capacity
